Who we are
Medieval Kotor is a part of Age, company which engages, educates, entertains and connects people with history by creating and producing historical projects like open-air museums, traveling exhibitions, historical events and more.
The original idea was created back in 1999. Our team has made its own unique approach to creating, implementing and presenting history.
We are based in Kotor, Montenegro and mostly work with the projects related to the history of Kotor. From the beginning of April until the end of November we are busy working on our projects: The Palace of Living History and the Days of Medieval Kotor.
In addition, during the winter months, we organize traveling exhibitions to various cities across the Balkans.
The goal is to revive the past and deliver it to the people in such a way that even those that initially didn't like learning about the middle ages or antiquity start truly loving it.
Our uniqueness lies in the fact that we combine principles from various fields when creating and presenting our ideas.
Our researchers explore the historical sources and together with handy craftsmen produce faithful replicas of historic artifacts. The tailors and designers work with art historians on bringing back the forgotten fashion of the past in it's most faithful form. The storytellers sculpt the raw facts into captivating and often humorous stories and eloquently deliver them to the public.
Because of this, our company has only talented and resourceful people, driven by passion and professionalism, so we can create meaningful and extraordinary projects.
